Dates:
   Tuesday, May 31st 2005; 9:00 hrs. – 18:30 hrs.

It is the most important city-port of central Chile, surrounded by forty-five hills that along with its ravines plunge down into the sea, and whose beaches and rock formations, form a narrow, coastal plane.

Valparaiso has always had a great attraction and it has been a source of inspiration for artist, musicians and great poets, such as Pablo Neruda, which famous house “La Sebastiana “ is now a museum.

Depart from Valparaíso to Viña Indomita located in Casablanca Valley on the way to Santiago. This valley is known internationally for producing fine white wines. This is mainly due to natural factors such as the soil and fresh climate, which allow the grapes to mature slowly, giving the unique fruit characteristics. At Viña Indomita we will enjoy the view of a winery, a tour of the cellars and lunch.

Even though this valley has been recently “discovered”, it has already gained worldwide renown, and has been compared to the best lands in the world. The positive influence of sea air creates the perfect ecologic conditions for grape growing.
Casablanca valley is located 40 kilometers from Valparaiso and 80 kilometers from Santiago.
Although white varieties such as Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc have been recognized worldwide, local winemakers are hoping that someday they will produce equally high quality red wines here.
